Chateau de Beaucastel. Chateauneuf-du-Pape, 2006

Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation with a strong percentage of Mourvèdre and Grenache (30% each), Syrah 20%, Counoise 10% and Cinsault 10%. Very dark, aromatic and nice wine. Probably one of the best "Chateauneufs" I've tasted.

Dark red, complex, full-bodied, and round. Drink now or lay down for 3-5 years. Inexpensive.

Cotes du Rhone, Guigal, 2007

This wine is full-bodied, dense and ripe. 50% Shiraz, 50% Grenache. Better than 2004. Inexpensive.

Folonari Chianti DOC, 2007

Dry Chianti from Tuscany with fresh and crisp flavors.. 100% Sangiovese. Vinified in stainless steel. Inexpensive.

Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres, Louis Jadot, 2006. Brief.

Fruity Chardonnay, long finish, not cheap!

Muga, Seleccion Especial Reserva, 2004. Brief.

Great Tempranillo from Rioja. Dense and deep-crimson colored. Needs time.

70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 10% Mazuelo.
